A chaplain is another component of the quality palliative care at Roger Williams. Patients and loved ones facing serious illness can find themselves dealing with many spiritual issues. The chaplain can help anyone whatever their beliefs, values or culture to find meaning and regain comfort during these challenging health situations.
Spiritual care is available whenever a patient would like help using their faith to aid in coping with their disease and the distress it may bring. The chaplain can also support patients in using their specific faith tradition if this is important to them. The chaplain offers a non-judgmental and supportive presence for each of our patients and their loved ones.
